Renewal cycles are 8-12 hours max as stated in the User Guide. What happened to your unit is when you left the unit plugged in for 48 hours, the color-changing coating on the indicator beads have been rendered dark permanently due to excess heat exposure. The moisture absorbing beads inside the unit still function and the unit will continue absorbing moisture. The units have a 5-year warranty, please contact customer service to see how they can assist you with your product.

Plugged in to renew for 48 hours and pellets stayed green indicating wet. Filed warranty claim and awaiting results

It supposed to have a 5yr life/warranty. We shall see how the C/S works, or doesn’t.

Ten second time it needed charging the beads have stayed black and I can’t get an answer?

I also use it under the kitchen and bathroom sink.
Thank you.

They worked great – lasted 3 years. About to order a few more.

During the humid summer months I need to recharge the unit about once a month and is very easy to do. But in the less humid months of winter I need to recharge only every other month. This is a fine product for small places, such as a cabinet or safe, and I am very pleased with it. And in case it matters, my E-333 is of the older style, where the hook is shaped differently (an “open hook”) as well as being removable.

I bought two 2-packs calculating that was how many needed for the 10’x20′ cargo container I had my household stored in. The four units would last 4 weeks and would need to recharge. They worked much better than those messy crystals in the buckets that you had to pour down the toilet to get rid of. The Eva-Dry E-333 were reliable and so clean. Within the last year I upgraded to the E-500’s to give me more peace of mind that over last winter I wouldn’t have any mold and mildew issues. I also had something to swap out with during recharge periods. I recently was able to purchase a new home and move everything out of the container. Happy to say I did not have any mold or mildew issues, and the wood furniture was not warped or damaged. I am now going to use these in my garage and upstairs inside my home to make sure over the winter I don’t start anything nasty. These are a great product.

As others have said, it’s so easy to recharge, since you just plug it in for a few hours. It’s worth every penny I paid for it.
